Interviewee:The 1960's was a great time to be alive. Many unforgettable events occurred during the 60's from the Vietnam War to John F. Kennedy's assassination, Martin Luther King Jr. and the Civil Rights Bill that was passed in 1964 to give African Americans the right for equal opportunity. The Civil Rights Act was a very important memory in my history. I remember how popular the topic of segregation was during this time. I believe that during the 1960's America had faced tough times but we worked as a nation and where able to pull through them. America also had experienced many events that are important in our nations history. Such as the assassination of our president, blacks gaining equal rights and using our very powerful military strength to fight in a war against Vietnam, which I was lucky enough to serve in.
